”Finding balance in health, living and happiness is my personal challenge for each individual with whom I work. Movement is imperative, when we stop moving we loose the desire to prevail … ‘move it and move on’ is my motto.”

Nicole Rabanal
Education and Certifications:
Native to Colorado, Nicole was born and raised in Denver the fifth of seven children. Playing Division I collegiate volleyball as a scholarship athlete, led to many first hand experiences with injuries and eventually to her interest in physical therapy. After graduating in 1993 from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts she moved back to Colorado to pursue her PT career and founded Kinetic Energy PT in 1997 along with her husband Marco.
Special interests in sports injuries prompted Nicole to attain her Certified and Strength and Conditioning Specialist license in 1994. From there her interests have diversified with special training in postpartum health for women, Real Time Ultrasound Imaging for core stabilization and biofeedback, Trigger Point Dry Needling (TDN), custom orthotics, and digital video gait analysis.
Work and Volunteer Experience:
Nicole has worked across the country in a variety of orthopedic and sports medicine centers including Florida, Texas, Denver and Vail prior to moving to Steamboat Springs to open Kinetic Energy Physical Therapy. Nicole also volunteers her time and experience with the competitive volleyball club in Denver, Front Range Volleyball Club (FRVBC), fitting custom orthotics and performing injury evaluations. Being an alumnus herself, this is a very rewarding opportunity to give back to a club that instilled many great experiences and life learning challenges as a young woman.
Personal Interests:
Love for the outdoors and competition has always been an interest for Nicole. Time spent skiing, biking, rock climbing, and rafting with her family are priceless. As of late personal interest in Tae Kwando, boxing and shooting competitions have lead to new adventures. Nicole and Marco have two children, Soria and Gabriel, and relish living in this little slice of paradise, Steamboat Springs.
