  • How long does a physical therapy visit last?

    The initial evaluation will take one hour; please arrive 15 minutes early to fill out the appropriate paper work. Follow up visits may last 30-45 minutes on average.

  • What should I wear?

    Clothing that will allow the physical therapist to view the effected area is appropriate. You may come dressed in or change into loose fitting pants/shirt, shorts for knee injuries, tank top for spine injuries.

  • Will my insurance cover my physical therapy visits?

    Insurance coverage varies greatly depending on each individual insurance plan. We recommend calling your toll free number on your insurance card and ask specifically what your “physical therapy benefits are”.

  • How do I bill my insurance company for physical therapy?

    We handle all insurance billing for you unless otherwise specified. Our billing staff is in-house making this process efficient and dependable.

  • Do I need a doctor referral for physical therapy?

    Colorado is a direct access state which means that you may receive treatment from a licensed physical therapist without a physician referral. However, if you are using insurance your carrier may require a physician referral. Call the toll free number on your card for specific details.

  • I just had knee surgery, how soon until I can ski/board/bike again?

    This is by far the most frequently asked question! As each person, injury and surgical repair is different it is a challenging question. However, tissue healing takes time and we will help you through the rehabilitation process in the most efficient and accelerated fashion possible. Beware of the “stupid stage” !!
